11-18 Data Literacy Project (Continued)

Data Literacy Project:

You’ll spent more time in class refining your course syllabus. Your syllabus draft is due tonight.

Things to ask yourself: do your learning objectives match your planned activities? What technology tools can support these activities? Where can you find readings?

For the readings you provided, if it is an open resource online, provide the title and the link; if it is a published book, provide the citation in the APA format: Last Name, F. M. (Year Published). Book title. City, State: Publisher. [Example: Rowling, J. K. (2001). Harry Potter and the socerer's stone. London: Bloomsburg Children's.]

Here’s the Syllabus Template with the Google link to each group's project. You can browse syllabi from every course taught at the University here. to help you with the format.

Intro to Video Production Project:

If you have already finished your Data Literacy Project, get prepared for your next group project--Video Production Project. It is an extension of the Data Literacy project, so you will be working with the same group members. You'll create a 3-minute video to introduce your course to students who might be interested in registering your course. You may shoot your own videos, use animation tools and/or video editing tools, take advantage of UGA's One Button Studio and Learning Glass Studio, or use a combination of all these.

Think about how to express these aspects in your video: What is your course about? Who is it for? Why is it important for them? What will they be doing in this course? What will they learn from this course?
