First-Year Experience Communication
Project Introduction:
First-Year Experience Communication is a group project submitted to Dr Branch's EDIT 6170 Instructional Design. The project idea is contributed by Alicia Spence, who works for the First-Year Experience program at Georgia Southern University. Other group members include Ebony Roberts, Elliot Kim, Terri Brown, Taylor O'Kelley, and Alyse Smith.
First-Year Experience (FYE) oversees a two-credit hour course at Georgia Southern University that helps students transition to college by teaching them information literacy skills and helping them engage with their degree program, on-campus resources and community. Taught by faculty from various departments, the course is taken by freshmen their first semester of college. Our project outlines instructional resources for one module of the 15-week course on the topic of non-verbal communication. We apply the ADDIE process like we have practiced individually in this course. The final product is a complete proposal.
My Contribution:
My major contribution to this project includes the overall graphic design, team profile design, project management plan, learner guide, teacher guide, and providing formative feedback throughout the whole project.
