04/20 Data Literacy Project


You have finished a draft of course syllabus. I'll provide feedback today and tomorrow. For today's class, you will focus on the promotion video. Make a plan, choose a tool, and collaborate!

Below are a few sample videos that I made with the suggested animation tools. I don't have narrations in them, but your video MUST have narrations (record your own voice).


Homework

1. Finish your data literacy project: final syllabus, promotion video, and peer evaluation. Soft deadline: Sunday midnight, 04/25. Hard deadline: Tuesday, 04/27 before class.

We don't have presentation for this project. We'll play your videos in class and vote for the best course!

2. The only things left for this semester are the Bitmoji Classroom project (This is an individual project. We'll talk about it next week) and your portfolio. For your portfolio, you should have at least these pages:

  • Bio/About me (Some of you have that on the home page and that's fine)

  • Tool Commercial Project

  • Maker Project

  • UDL redesign

  • Book Project

  • Scratch Project

  • Data Literacy Project
