Padlet discussion: MEANINGFUL LEARNING EXPERIENCES

- Work in groups of 3 or 4 to discuss the following questions and post your responses to the Padlet for your group (20 mins)

1. Using the 5 characteristics diagram – what examples of meaningful learning with (and without) technology have you experienced since our last class? How does this connect with the article you read about the Four Cs?

2. What technology tools do you use in your own life that you wish your instructors used in your classes here at UGA? What are some examples of how they could use these tools to make learning more meaningful? Search the web to find examples of instructors using these tools for teaching and learning.

HOMEWORK (Due Monday, August 26):

1. Add a new page to your portfolio site and name it "Meaningful Learning". Embed your group Padlet URL to that page. Here is a tutorial about how to embed a URL in Google Sites.

2. Read Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Making learning accessible and engaging for all students. (Publication). (2008). Washington, DC: NEA and read Common Core Standards Revisted: Universal design for learning.(Publication). (2016) and view this chart about UDL.
