09/08 Tool Commercial Project Presentation

1. House Keeping

1) Reading Assignments from last week

For the past week, there are three articles to read: Chapter One , Universal design for learning. and Preparing 21st Century Students for a Global Society . And then you are expected to answer these questions. You still have some extra time to do this if you haven't finished it yet as we'll focus on the Tool Commercial Project presentation today.

2) Any problems or difficulties when preparing the Tool Commercial Project? How did you solve them, if any?

3) A few common issues

I checked out each portfolio website quickly just to make sure your tool commercial project can be accesses properly. I replied to your thread in the #portfolio channel to remind you if somehow I couldn't find your project. If I didn't reply to it, it means your project looks great and you're ready to present it. There are some common issues and I would like to take a few minutes to address them in class:

  • Embedding Google Doc in your portfolio.

  • Change the privacy setting of the Google Doc as "anyone with the link can view".

  • Don't forget to publish the changes of your portfolio.

2. Kahoot review on ISTE standards

We'll do a quick review what we learned about ISTE standards with a Kahoot.

3. Tool Commercial Project Presentation

You'll have 3-4 minutes to present your project. You just need to demonstrate your project (whatever form it is) and demonstrate how to use the tool. Think about how you can to "sell" your tool to your audience.

I'll follow the order of the roster. When your name is called, you can start to share your screen. If you have video/audio to play during the presentation, you need to check "share computer audio" before hitting the share button.
