It’s about meaningful learning with technology and finding the intersection of learning, design, and technology in K12 learning environments. View the syllabus for more details.
2. What materials do you need?
You’ll need access to technology – your own computer or one in a lab somewhere on campus. Mobile devices are helpful.
Textbook (optional)
Gonzalez, J. (2019). Teachers Guide to Technology (3rd ed.). Cult of Pedagogy.
(The textbook introduces a wide variety of technological tools and resources that can be used for education. Cost: ~$15.00)
3. Class activities for today
Today you’ll complete 1 out of 4 learning centers that are designed to help you get a better idea of what this class is about while getting to know some of your classmates. We’ll complete all 4 centers during our first 3 class meetings before drop/add.
Center One: Introduce Yourself – Tell us more about yourself using a video tool
Center Two: Organize Your Coursework –Set up a class portfolio using Google Sites
Center Three: Explore Course Foundations – Figure out what this course is about
Center Four: Go on a Scavenger Hunt – Find your way around Aderhold
